Mentorship

OS-OT-ICIC-Mentorship-no-border

Students, clinicians, practicum supervisors, faculty, staff, and registrars have all identified the need for a mentorship program that connects students who have disabilities with clinicians who also have disabilities.

Benefits of mentorship:

  • Allows clinicians the opportunity to share their experiences regarding the negotiation of barriers in the workplace, thus empowering students through helping them gain the skills needed to manage the challenges they may face as clinicians with disabilities.
  • Having clinicians act as experienced and knowledgeable guides for students will foster a sense of inclusion, support, and community.

Please view our poster for more information. We invite interested clinicians and students to contact us.
